Elevating the shining of shoes to an art form

Patina – way beyond an ordinary shine

Patina – it’s one of those words no one’s quite sure about.

Dictionary Definition of patina

1a: a usually green film formed naturally on copper and bronze by long exposure or artificially (as by acids) and often valued aesthetically for its color
b: a surface appearance of something grown beautiful especially with age or usethe beautiful patina of this antique table
2: an appearance or aura that is derived from association, habit, or established characterthe criminal has acquired a patina of respectability by his friendship with well-known businessmen
3: a superficial covering or exteriorThe toast was spread with a patina of butter.

Often it’s used in the antique trade to bronzes or silver items

In shoeshine London terms it’s like seeing someone with dazzlingly white teeth
it’s all you can look at when they smile

Get patina’d by me – The ShoeshineGuy at The Hilton – and you’ll notice people staring at your feet when they talk to you

Because I create London’s best patina for shoes

Using all-natural leather dye and proper old fashioned elbow grease

And I can do the same for handbags, leather jackets – anything leather really

Don’t believe me?
